Behave as children of light

Notes of meeting on 21 October 2014

1 Peter 5 v 1 - 11

1 I urge the elders among you, as a fellow-elder myself and a witness to the sufferings of Christ, and as one who is to have a share in the glory that is to be revealed:
2 give a shepherd's care to the flock of God that is entrusted to you: watch over it, not simply as a duty but gladly, as God wants; not for sordid money, but because you are eager to do it.
3 Do not lord it over the group which is in your charge, but be an example for the flock.
4 When the chief shepherd appears, you will be given the unfading crown of glory.
5 In the same way, younger people, be subject to the elders. Humility towards one another must be the garment you all wear constantly, because God opposes the proud but accords his favour to the humble.
6 Bow down, then, before the power of God now, so that he may raise you up in due time;
7 unload all your burden on to him, since he is concerned about you.
8 Keep sober and alert, because your enemy the devil is on the prowl like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand up to him, strong in faith and in the knowledge that it is the same kind of suffering that the community of your brothers throughout the world is undergoing.
10 You will have to suffer only for a little while: the God of all grace who called you to eternal glory in Christ will restore you, he will confirm, strengthen and support you.
11 His power lasts for ever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 5 v
1 As God's dear children, then, take him as your pattern,
2 and follow Christ by loving as he loved you, giving himself up for us as an offering and a sweet-smelling sacrifice to God.
3 Among you there must be not even a mention of sexual vice or impurity in any of its forms, or greed: this would scarcely become the holy people of God!
4 There must be no foul or salacious talk or coarse jokes -- all this is wrong for you; there should rather be thanksgiving.
5 For you can be quite certain that nobody who indulges in sexual immorality or impurity or greed -- which is worshipping a false god -- can inherit the kingdom of God.
6 Do not let anyone deceive you with empty arguments: it is such behaviour that draws down God's retribution on those who rebel against him.
7 Make sure that you do not throw in your lot with them.
8 You were darkness once, but now you are light in the Lord; behave as children of light,
9 for the effects of the light are seen in complete goodness and uprightness and truth.
10 Try to discover what the Lord wants of you,
11 take no part in the futile works of darkness but, on the contrary, show them up for what they are.
12 The things which are done in secret are shameful even to speak of;
13 but anything shown up by the light will be illuminated
14 and anything illuminated is itself a light. That is why it is said: Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
15 So be very careful about the sort of lives you lead, like intelligent and not like senseless people.
16 Make the best of the present time, for it is a wicked age.
17 This is why you must not be thoughtless but must recognise what is the will of the Lord.
18 Do not get drunk with wine; this is simply dissipation; be filled with the Spirit.
19 Sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs among yourselves, singing and chanting to the Lord in your hearts,
20 always and everywhere giving thanks to God who is our Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.

I am the Good Shepherd

Notes of meeting on 14 October 2014

Picture of workers in the vineyard tending the vines ,clipping back the leaves ready for the final ripening of the grapes to be gathered for the wine press.
The workers were diligently working and singing.
I the distance was a great cloud of dust coming up from the ground. It came rolling nearer and nearer to the vineyard.
People were fidgeting and becoming distracted from their work and began to become fearful. As the dust arrived it brought with it masses of serpents to annoy and bite the heels of the workers. The people seemed to run this way and that to get away from the irritating creatures.
Suddenly the workers all looked over to the Vineyard gate as they heard the beautiful love song of the King who was walking through the gate dressed as a shepherd with His Sacred Heart exposed.
As the workers listed to His song and beheld His face they no longer took notice of the serpents and they withered away.
Jesus said "My little flock when Satan sends his cohort to distract and annoy or even to hurt you, know this I have the heart of a shepherd who knows each of his sheep. your name is written in My Heart. look to Me and fear no evil for I Myself will fight off the intruder. I will bind up the hurt and soothe your fears for you are mine and I have paid the price for you. Look to Me and Satan will have no dominion over you. My little flock, beloved of mine, do not fear, turn to your loving Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep. Look to me for I Myself will tend you My loyal little flock."
Each sheep of the flock had a cross inside a white heart upon its forehead.

Luke 17 v 5 - 10
The apostles said to the Lord, 'Increase our faith.'
6 The Lord replied, 'If you had faith like a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree, "Be uprooted and planted in the sea," and it would obey you.
7 'Which of you, with a servant ploughing or minding sheep, would say to him when he returned from the fields, "Come and have your meal at once"?
8 Would he not be more likely to say, "Get my supper ready; fasten your belt and wait on me while I eat and drink. You yourself can eat and drink afterwards"?
9 Must he be grateful to the servant for doing what he was told?
10 So with you: when you have done all you have been told to do, say, "We are useless servants: we have done no more than our duty." '

Psalm 16
1[In a quiet voice Of David] Protect me, O God, in you is my refuge.
2 To Yahweh I say, 'You are my Lord, my happiness is in none
3 of the sacred spirits of the earth.' They only take advantage of all who love them.
4 People flock to their teeming idols. Never shall I pour libations to them! Never take their names on my lips.
5 My birthright, my cup is Yahweh; you, you alone, hold my lot secure.
6 The measuring-line marks out for me a delightful place, my birthright is all I could wish.
7 I bless Yahweh who is my counsellor, even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me.
9 So my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too will rest secure,
10 for you will not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot allow your faithful servant to see the abyss.
11 You will teach me the path of life, unbounded joy in your presence, at your right hand delight for ever.

John 10 v 7 - 18
7 So Jesus spoke to them again: In all truth I tell you, I am the gate of the sheepfold.
8 All who have come before me are thieves and bandits, but the sheep took no notice of them.
9 I am the gate. Anyone who enters through me will be safe: such a one will go in and out and will find pasture.
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep.
12 The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and runs away, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep;
13 he runs away because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me,
15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep.
16 And there are other sheep I have that are not of this fold, and I must lead these too. They too will listen to my voice, and there will be only one flock, one shepherd.
17 The Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again.
18 No one takes it from me; I lay it down of my own free will, and as I have power to lay it down, so I have power to take it up again; and this is the command I have received from my Father.

Jesus says "Come"

Notes of meeting on 23 September 2014

The word 'COME' resonated as a great disk of white appeared in the centre of which was the Sacred Heart of Jesus with blood and water flowing out.
Many people were coming toward the Heart of Jesus; peoples of every race and colour were receiving the Eucharist and were meeting with Jesus their heart to His Heart, their soul to his Soul.
The word 'COME' reverberated in the minds and hearts of all of us as though our being was immersed in His and we no longer felt tired, bereft, lonely or cold. We felt loved, warm and part of Him.
Partaking in the Eucharist is a meeting we don't fully understand, and may never do so until we reach Heaven. We are infinitely richer for partaking in this most wondrous of gifts to mankind.
We are never apart from Jesus in any kind of circumstances. He loves us.

filled with the Holy Spirit

Notes from meeting of 16 September 2014

Picture of Jesus and Mary.
Jesus placed His hand on His Mothers Heart.
Her Heart and His Heart seemed to meld together and anointing oil flowed from the two hearts which flowed down to their feet and then became a wave of oil. The oil flowed from Jesus' Heart through Marys Heart and then down to us who were immersed in it. The oil was breathable like the air we breathe. The oil then flowed out to all Nations and Creeds, to all good people and some not so good. In each case when the oil was breathed in it brought healing and love of ones brothers and sisters.

As Jesus changed ordinary water into the best of wines what looked to be ordinary oil was doing extraordinary things for mankind.

"Those souls who turn to Me through My Mother will be accorded much grace. This anointing will be as a bulwark against the tide of my enemy. Come open your hearts to the gift of My Grace. I will never leave you for you are part of Me your Jesus."

Acts 4 v 29 - 35
29 And now, Lord, take note of their threats and help your servants to proclaim your message with all fearlessness,
30 by stretching out your hand to heal and to work miracles and marvels through the name of your holy servant Jesus.'
31 As they prayed, the house where they were assembled rocked. From this time they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to proclaim the word of God fearlessly.
32 The whole group of believers was united, heart and soul; no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, as everything they owned was held in common.
33 The apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and they were all accorded great respect.
34 None of their members was ever in want, as all those who owned land or houses would sell them, and bring the money from the sale of them,
35 to present it to the apostles; it was then distributed to any who might be in need.

Matthew 10 v 37 - 42
37 'No one who prefers father or mother to me is worthy of me. No one who prefers son or daughter to me is worthy of me.
38 Anyone who does not take his cross and follow in my footsteps is not worthy of me.
39 Anyone who finds his life will lose it; anyone who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 'Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me; and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.
41 'Anyone who welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will have a prophet's reward; and anyone who welcomes an upright person because he is upright will have the reward of an upright person.
42 'If anyone gives so much as a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, then in truth I tell you, he will most certainly not go without his reward.'

We are all one in Him

Notes for meeting on 9 September 2014

Picture of Jesus as the Servant King asking us to put our baggage behind us, unload all our burdens, and come to Him.
We are to bring Him our hearts as we do so He touches each heart with His light that enters our hearts and unites us to Him
We are family, we are all one in Him.

I John 2 v 20 -25
20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and have all received knowledge.
21 I have written to you not because you are ignorant of the truth, but because you are well aware of it, and because no lie can come from the truth.
22 Who is the liar, if not one who claims that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the Antichrist, who denies both the Father and the Son.
23 Whoever denies the Son cannot have the Father either; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father too.
24 Let what you heard in the beginning remain in you; as long as what you heard in the beginning remains in you, you will remain in the Son and in the Father.
25 And the promise he made you himself is eternal life.

I call you friends. Bear fruit.
