Theotokos Prayer Group - Third Sunday of Easter, 14 April 2024
Alleluia, alleluia!
Lord Jesus, explain the Scriptures to us.
Make our hearts burn within us as you talk to us.
Alleluia!
Gospel: Luke 24:35-48
It is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead
The disciples told their story of what had happened on the road and how they had recognised Jesus at the breaking of bread.
They were still talking about all this when Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you!’ In a state of alarm and fright, they thought they were seeing a ghost. But he said, ‘Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts rising in your hearts? Look at my hands and feet; yes, it is I indeed. Touch me and see for yourselves; a ghost has no flesh and bones as you can see I have.’ And as he said this he showed them his hands and feet. Their joy was so great that they still could not believe it, and they stood there dumbfounded; so he said to them, ‘Have you anything here to eat?’ And they offered him a piece of grilled fish, which he took and ate before their eyes.
Then he told them, ‘This is what I meant when I said, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets and in the Psalms has to be fulfilled.’ He then opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, ‘So you see how it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that, in his name, repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses to this.’
Lord Jesus come to us , give us your Peace.
Feed us with your Body and Blood, explain the Scriptures to us.
Forgive us our sins, heal us .
Help us to witness to you and to serve you in our brother and sisters.

Gospel: John 20:19-31
Eight days later, Jesus came again and stood among them
In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you’, and showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy when they saw the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.
‘As the Father sent me,
so am I sending you.’
After saying this he breathed on them and said:
‘Receive the Holy Spirit.
For those whose sins you forgive,
they are forgiven;
for those whose sins you retain,
they are retained.’
Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. When the disciples said, ‘We have seen the Lord’, he answered, ‘Unless I see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Doubt no longer but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him:
‘You believe because you can see me.
Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.’
There were many other signs that Jesus worked and the disciples saw, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name.
God of everlasting mercy, who in the very recurrence of the paschal feast kindle the faith of the people you have made your own, increase, we pray, the grace you have bestowed, that all may grasp and rightly understand in what font they have been washed, by whose Spirit they have been reborn, by whose Blood they have been redeemed. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

HE IS RISEN!
Alleluia, alleluia!

Alleluia!
Gospel: John 20:1-9
He must rise from the dead
It was very early on the first day of the week and still dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved. ‘They have taken the Lord out of the tomb’ she said ‘and we don’t know where they have put him.’
So Peter set out with the other disciple to go to the tomb. They ran together, but the other disciple, running faster than Peter, reached the tomb first; he bent down and saw the linen cloths lying on the ground, but did not go in. Simon Peter who was following now came up, went right into the tomb, saw the linen cloths on the ground, and also the cloth that had been over his head; this was not with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in; he saw and he believed. Till this moment they had failed to understand the teaching of scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
Notes from meeting on 26 March 2024:
Picture
A picture of Jesus on the Cross.
Our Lord is near death, and it seems as though the Heavens and all who reside there and the stars, the birds of the air are reaching down to Him and the Earth and all that it contains rises up to the Cross and meet within Jesus. They flow into Him and as the Light is extinguished all is silent, slowly the Sun reappears and all returns to normal, The Earth seems somehow renewed and great Peace descends.
"Death where is your victory, for Christ my Son has conquered death, In Him is Mankind’s Salvation, He who was bruised, beaten and cruelly Crucified is Risen and is with the Father on High.
My little ones rejoice as I did on the Third Day, the Light of The World is with us and nothing can come between us and the Love of the Risen One. Live His Word, Love His Way and always remember you are temples of His Body, His Body given up for you!
Rejoice for your Way To Heaven is made! My Son Loves you and all is completed in Him.
Mary your most Joyous Mother."

Message from CHARIS:
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Pentecost Mass 2024
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this year’s Mass for Pentecost at 1:00pm at St Mary’s Cathedral Church, Newcastle, on Saturday 11 May 2024. The theme for this year’s Mass is 'Renewed in the Holy Spirit' and our music will be led by the Emmanuel Music Group and the African choir. Please use the attached poster to promote this Mass on your church notice boards, and encourage your friends to share this opportunity for the Renewal family of Hexham & Newcastle to come together in joyful communion.
New official CHARIS website for England and Wales
We are pleased to share with you the launch of a new website for the CNSC, the national team for CHARIS in England and Wales - www.charisuk.com.
Explaining the vision behind the website, Web Editor, and member of our own CDSC, Andy Drozdziak said:
Pope Francis has spoken constantly of the ‘newness’ of the Spirit and that God is always doing a new thing. We pray that the new website will go towards the mission of building God’s Kingdom - informing God’s people of the wonderful things the Holy Spirit is doing in Catholic Charismatic Renewal in England and Wales.
One of the words we received when we started to develop the site came from Isaiah 49:6: ‘I will also make you a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.’ There was a sense among us that the Holy Spirit wants to use our site to point people towards Jesus, the light of the world and our only hope. Please pray that God will use it powerfully - and do get in touch if you have any stories.
With every blessing,
John

Theotokos Prayer Group 2024 - Palm Sunday - 24 March 2024
Gospel: Mark 11:1-10
Blessings on him who comes in the name of the Lord.
When they drew near to Jerusalem,
to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives,
Jesus sent two of his disciples, and said to them,
‘Go into the village opposite you,
and immediately as you enter it
you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat;
untie it and bring it.
If any one says to you,
“Why are you doing this?” say,
“The Lord has need of it
and will send it back here immediately.”’
And they went away,
and found a colt tied at the door out in the open street;
and they untied it.
And those who stood there said to them,
‘What are you doing, untying the colt?’
And they told them what Jesus had said;
and they let them go.
And they brought the colt to Jesus,
and threw their garments on it;
and he sat upon it.
And many spread their garments on the road,
and others spread leafy branches
which they had cut from the fields.
And those who went before
and those who followed cried out,
‘Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming!
Hosanna in the highest!’
Praise to you, O Christ, king of eternal glory!
Christ was humbler yet,
even to accepting death, death on a cross.
But God raised him high
and gave him the name which is above all names.
Praise to you, O Christ, king of eternal glory!
Gospel: Mark 14:1-15:47
The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Mark
Notes from Meeting on 19 March 2024
Picture
A Picture of a shiny tap open and gushing water, but the pipe bringing the water starts to go rusty and so the water is lost and not much comes out of the tap!
Then a picture of many people at the foot a hill where there was a gushing stream but somehow the flow is stopped by debris and rotten greenery.
People are coming together to undo the damage and clamber up and clean all the debris out and so the stream flows again at full force. Those that have helped in this return to the bottom and bring many with them to drink of the crystal clear waters.
"My dear little ones,
My adversary tries every way to stop my Son’s Word from flourishing in the hearts of Mankind. Be on your guard, keeping your hearts in union with my Son Jesus, then His Love, His Word, His Strength, His Courage, will flow over your souls and so refresh your weary bodies and minds. Then you will lead others to the Waters of Life and none will be thirsty again.
The more you pray and make sacrifice my children, the more the Holy Spirit will act and so bring poor souls who are thirsty for His Love to turn to Him.
My little ones you often wonder if your prayers are effective or if the Father hears them.
I am your Mother and I say to you, NO prayer is ever disregarded, in fact the prayer of a returned penitent is very precious in our eyes.
I cover you with my Motherly mantle, let your prayers irrigate the aridity of your own and Mankind’s hearts.
I ask you for prayers for all Religious but especially my Priest sons whom are so dear to my Motherly Heart.
Mary"

Theotokos Prayer Group 2024 - Fifth Sunday of Lent, St Patrick's Day - 17 March 2024
Glory to you, O Christ, you are the Word of God!
Whoever serves me must follow me, says the Lord;
and where I am, there also will my servant be.
Glory to you, O Christ, you are the Word of God!
Gospel: John 12:20-33
If a grain of wheat falls on the ground and dies, it yields a rich harvest
Among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks. These approached Philip, who came from Bethsaida in Galilee, and put this request to him, ‘Sir, we should like to see Jesus.’ Philip went to tell Andrew, and Andrew and Philip together went to tell Jesus. Jesus replied to them:
‘Now the hour has come
for the Son of Man to be glorified.
I tell you, most solemnly,
unless a wheat grain falls on the ground and dies,
it remains only a single grain;
but if it dies,
it yields a rich harvest.
Anyone who loves his life loses it;
anyone who hates his life in this world
will keep it for the eternal life.
If a man serves me, he must follow me,
wherever I am, my servant will be there too.
If anyone serves me, my Father will honour him.
Now my soul is troubled.
What shall I say:
Father, save me from this hour?
But it was for this very reason that I have come to this hour.
Father, glorify your name!’
A voice came from heaven, ‘I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.’ People standing by, who heard this, said it was a clap of thunder; others said, ‘It was an angel speaking to him.’ Jesus answered, ‘It was not for my sake that this voice came, but for yours.
‘Now sentence is being passed on this world;
now the prince of this world is to be overthrown.
And when I am lifted up from the earth,
I shall draw all men to myself.’
By these words he indicated the kind of death he would die.

Picture
Picture of Jesus clothed in a blood soaked white garment, the garment is sticking to every welt on His body. He looks up and sees His Mother she is accompanied by many people. Jesus takes up His Cross. His Mother and the accompanying crowd follow Him, somehow seeing His Mother with us comforts Jesus. Although in great pain He gestures with His Hand to always follow His Mother.
"My dear children,
I am your Mother and I always lead you to my Son.
Come with me on the road to Calvary which is the road to Heaven, accompany my Son and help Him like Simon did. This will give my Son the deepest comfort knowing that your hearts are entwined with His in this Lenten Season.
My little ones together we will carry Souls to Him who carries His Cross to save all from my adversary.
Be bold and be strong in your Faith, love your enemies, PRAY for them and together we will bring them to my Son who suffers so very much.
I Mary will be with you on this road, the Way of The Cross. Love conquers wrong-doing, bring my Son souls with your prayers this will comfort Him.
Mary"
We adore You O Christ and we praise You , because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
Matthew 11 v 25- 29
25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Sunday 10 March 2024
Theotokos Prayer Group 2024 - Fourth Sunday of Lent - 10 March 2024
Glory and praise to you, O Christ!
God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son:
everyone who believes in him has eternal life.
Glory and praise to you, O Christ!
Gospel: John 3:14-21
God sent his Son so that through him the world might be saved
Jesus said to Nicodemus:
‘The Son of Man must be lifted up
as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.
Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost
but may have eternal life.
For God sent his Son into the world
not to condemn the world,
but so that through him the world might be saved.
No one who believes in him will be condemned;
but whoever refuses to believe is condemned already,
because he has refused to believe in the name of God’s only Son.
On these grounds is sentence pronounced:
that though the light has come into the world
men have shown they prefer darkness to the light
because their deeds were evil.
And indeed, everybody who does wrong
hates the light and avoids it,
for fear his actions should be exposed;
but the man who lives by the truth comes out into the light,
so that it may be plainly seen that what he does is done in God.’
We adore You O Christ and we praise You because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

Theotokos Prayer Group 2024 - Third Sunday of Lent, 3 March 2024
Praise to you, O Christ, king of eternal glory!
I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord;
whoever believes in me will never die.
Praise to you, O Christ, king of eternal glory!
Gospel: John 2:13-25
Destroy this sanctuary and in three days I will raise it up
Just before the Jewish Passover Jesus went up to Jerusalem, and in the Temple he found people selling cattle and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting at their counters there. Making a whip out of some cord, he drove them all out of the Temple, cattle and sheep as well, scattered the money-changers’ coins, knocked their tables over and said to the pigeon-sellers, ‘Take all this out of here and stop turning my Father’s house into a market.’ Then his disciples remembered the words of scripture: Zeal for your house will devour me. The Jews intervened and said, ‘What sign can you show us to justify what you have done?’ Jesus answered, ‘Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.’ The Jews replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this sanctuary: are you going to raise it up in three days?’ But he was speaking of the sanctuary that was his body, and when Jesus rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and the words he had said.
During his stay in Jerusalem for the Passover many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he gave, but Jesus knew them all and did not trust himself to them; he never needed evidence about any man; he could tell what a man had in him.

Picture
Picture of Jesus kneeling down in the sand, there is a long queue of people waiting to see Him, as each person approaches they kneel down and speak to Him. He looks down at the words written in the sand, smiles and brushes them away, so no words can be seen anymore. Jesus takes each person by the hand and together they stand up erect and tall feeling cleansed and as though a great weight has been lifted. The next person comes to Him who is so Merciful and all is repeated.
"My dear little ones, come to the Font of All Forgiveness My Son Jesus, He Who Loves You with an Unending
Love, do not be afraid He welcomes you, He will give you words of wisdom and grace, He will help you in your endeavours to change for good. My Son loves you!
Mary"
Psalm 32 v 1 -7
Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.
6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Sunday 25 February 2024
Theotokos Prayer Group 2024 - Second Sunday of Lent, 25 February 2024
Glory and praise to you, O Christ!
From the bright cloud the Father’s voice was heard:
‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’
Glory and praise to you, O Christ!
Gospel: Mark 9:2-10
This is my Son, the Beloved
Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain where they could be alone by themselves. There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became dazzlingly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus. Then Peter spoke to Jesus: ‘Rabbi,’ he said ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and there came a voice from the cloud, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
As they came down from the mountain he warned them to tell no one what they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead. They observed the warning faithfully, though among themselves they discussed what ‘rising from the dead’ could mean.
Notes from meeting on 20 February 2024
Picture
A picture of the World, around its circumference are children from little to teens all praying the rosary with Blessed Mother, above them is the Cross with Our Lord upon it, chains come from the top of the Cross and meet down across the World attached to the many rosaries said by the children, these are chains of LOVE, this Love forms a barrier against the bitterness Our Lord feels when he looks at our World and He is comforted by His praying and loving children.
"My dear little ones,
I see you each as my little child, for it is in smallness and humility that my adversary retreats. Your prayers are precious droplets of love like dew on a rose making freshness and a beautiful scent in My Sons Presence, this makes up for the stench of Evil that fills His nostrils and makes Him weep. My little ones when you become trusting like little children in your prayers my Son cannot metre out Justice fully and so by cooperating with Me you hold back the tide of Justice, then more and more of lost souls will come to Him asking for His Mercy.
Now is the time to pray like never before in this Lenten Season, help my Son by bringing souls in prayer. Dedicate yourselves, your families, friends but especially the lost souls to my Immaculate Heart and you will see great things. Trust me my little one’s, trust me.
Your Mother
Mary"
A Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Author: Venerable Pope Pius XII
Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfil the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.
Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.
O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.
We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home.
Amen.
James 5 v 2 -18
Faith and Wisdom
2 My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; 4 and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. 6 But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind; 7, 8 for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
Poverty and Riches
9 Let the believer who is lowly boast in being raised up, 10 and the rich in being brought low, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field. 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the field; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. It is the same way with the rich; in the midst of a busy life, they will wither away.
Trial and Temptation
12 Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 13 No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one. 14 But one is tempted by one’s own desire, being lured and enticed by it; 15 then, when that desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and that sin, when it is fully grown, gives birth to death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved.
17 Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18 In fulfilment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
