Can you pray?

Notes of meeting on 17 October 2017

Picture of Jesus carrying His most Holy Cross.
He seemed to be visiting every country and island in the World.
As He reached nearly all countries He staggered under the weight of sin; in some countries He fell to the ground crushed and overcome with nausea. With great difficulty He carried on until all had been visited. Then Jesus and His Cross rose upwards and the vile World and all its sin could be seen on His Cross until the World was enwrapped by His Cross.
Jesus says:
" My children, for you are my children, I ask you this:
Can you be Simon to Me, can you pray for your people, your country, for your world?
You are mine and I ask you to put behind you all childish things and earnestly pray.
Your Mother and My Mother followed Me in everything.
She who is Queen of Peace never answered back but prayed constantly. By means of prayer and sacrifice through Her Immaculate Heart all things are perfected and all things will be put right.
If you pray for poor souls in your families, in your country, in your world even though you yourselves are not perfect you will see miracles within your families and countries and your world.
Be Simon to Me, be Mother to Me, help Me to help you.
Your Jesus who weeps for such love of you and of all Creation.
Jesus."

Joel 2 v 28 - 32
‘And afterwards,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens
    and on the earth,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
32 And everyone who calls
    on the name of the Lord will be saved;
for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
    there will be deliverance,
    as the Lord has said,
even among the survivors
    whom the Lord calls

Everyone who turns back to Me shall be saved.

Isaiah 11 v 10-12
10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting-place will be glorious. 11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean.
12 He will raise a banner for the nations
    and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
from the four quarters of the earth.

May our prayer rise like incense before You that Your purposes might be fulfilled.

be rooted and built up in Christ

Notes of meeting on 3 October 2017

How lovely is your dwelling place.

Colossians 2 v 6-19
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

Be bold, fight to the end.

Blessed are those who hear God's word and out it into practice

Notes of meeting on 26 September 2017

Luke 8 v 19-21

19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.’
21 He replied, ‘My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.’

Help us Lord not to just hear your word but also to act upon it and put it into practice.
Mary pondered your word in her heart and said "let it be done to me according to your word" and also " do whatever He tells you".
Help us like Mary reflect on your word to us and to put it into practice.
Help us to be faithful to the specific call you have given to us at this moment to pray for those who are lost, those who are in darkness, and in need of your Mercy.

October Prayer Intention (2017}

October Prayer Intention (2017)

We pray for all those who struggle to get enough to eat:
that they may know they are not forgotten, and that together, by the grace of God, we may build
a brighter future and a fairer world.

Lord, in your mercy hear our prayer.
Amen
