Theotokos Prayer Group update No 26

 Dear friends,

A picture of Blessed Mother among us, all around Her and us is continual loud noise and what appears to be catastrophe, it is as though there is no peace!
Mary says:
"My children when you find yourself overwhelmed by the cacophony of noise and it seems there is nothing but catastrophe all around, this is the very time to open your hearts to prayer and enter in to the room in your heart where you will find my Son Jesus and so you will receive Peace. 

Picture yourself entering into the room and Jesus saying to you “sit a while with Me My child, relax put away your burdens and just be”. If you practise doing this, eventually you will find that inner Peace and relationship with My Son you have always craved and needed, He is always waiting in your heart for you to come be with Him, He is always ready to hear your woes and give you comfort, and not anything in this World, any evil spirit or any other person can destroy this haven because it is with in you. 

My child cultivate this gift of seeking My Son in your heart, this deepening of your relationship with Jesus will be the Peace you need in times of misfortune or trouble, I myself will help you through prayer to imitate the inner life as I so often practised this myself when troubled on earth. It is a  room of retreat, that no one can close down or destroy. 

I place my Mantle of Motherly Prayer over you.

⁵ “And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. ⁶ But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you 

John 14 v 22-24

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; and the word that you hear is not mine, but is from the Father who sent me.

Intercessions

Pray for Sarah and Dan for help in making a decision.

Pray for Anthony who is going through a difficult time. May he find healing and peace.

Please pray for healing for David who has had a breakdown.

Pray for our Government, local authorities and the health services as they try to deal with the new upsurge in the Corona Virus. Pray for a speedy end to the Coronavirus pandemic throughout the world, and for all those who have contracted the virus and for those who have died. Pray for a vaccine.

Pray for Ann Conroy and Jim Noone who died recently and pray for their families.

Pray for John and Kathleen Morgan. John is recovering from an operation on his face for skin cancer and Kathleen is having difficulty walking because of severe arthritis. They are both in their 80s.

Pray for healing for Dave with long term walking difficulties.

Pray for Annabelle who has bi-polar and is now back at home from Hospital with medication.

Pray for the crisis in Yemen, years of war are being compounded by the effects of coronavirus and food and clean water is scarce and medical resources are minimal.

Continue to pray for healing for John who has finished his radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.

Continue to pray for Eileen who was undergoing chemotherapy for bowel cancer.

Pray for Zoe diagnosed with breast cancer.

Pray for our priests and our parishes.

Pray for the intentions of all members of Theotokos.

Pray for lost souls.

Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Church and the World.

Theotokos Prayer Group update No 25

 

Dear friends,

Let us persevere in prayer for one another, our loved ones and indeed all people.

Romans 12 v 11 - 13

11 Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.

Intercessions

 Dear friends,

A picture of Our Blessed Mother, she is standing in front of us and she lifts the two sides of her mantle. Beneath her mantle are many people of every creed and nation, Her mantle stretches like the vast sky upon them, covering them, her mantle is a covering of maternal prayer, this is the prayer which calls down graces and blessings upon each child of God who seeks the Father in spoken prayer or silently uttered from the heart. She who is so small and humble can do mighty works with even one small heartfelt prayer.

“My Children, I am your Mother and as a loving Mother, I continually cover each of you with my mantle of motherly prayer, for you are the progeny of my Maternal Heart and so I will never stop presenting you and your families to the love and Mercy of my Son Jesus. 

My children when you are troubled tired or confused lean on me, come under my mantle of prayer and I will help you to seek Jesus My Son, I will steer you upon the right path and together we will draw others to my Son Jesus, not by our own efforts but by calling down the Holy Spirit to guide us. 

My children you really are mine because my Son gave you to me from His Cross. 

My child come let me be your true Mother who leads her beloved child to Him who is the True Light Of The World Jesus, my Most Beloved Son.

Yvonne Noones' Father Jim has sadly died may he Rest in Peace. Yvonne is naturally distraught so can we pray for peace for her.

Theotokos Prayer Group update no.23

 Dear friends,

I certainly wasn't expecting these Covid led updates to still be going but it doesn't look as if we will be meeting up together any time soon and I think its unlikely until 2021.

However we can still support one another in prayer.

Romans 8 v 28-29

28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family

1 Corinthians v 47-49

47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven.

2 Corinthians v 3 -18

18 And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.

How well do we conform to the image of Christ in our lives?

Are our minds, hearts and wills submitted to Him?

Are we asking the Holy Spirit to transform us into the likeness of Christ?
