Picture

A picture of a person resting their head on the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Jesus responding by holding them within His comforting arms.

“Come rest your head on My Most Sacred Heart, I enclose you in the cenacle of My Most Holy and Divine Will, place within My arms your lives, your families and every deed performed or act done and My Mercy and Love will flow over your deeds and acts, embellishing and causing them to be like lights in My Holy and Divine Will and so draw all men to Me. For My Mercy and Love are all encompassing and are never withheld from a repentant troubled soul!
My people your prayer and sacrifice done in My Holy Will are far reaching, lighting the way for Mankind to come to Me. I comfort you in these troubling times,  Fear nothing, I Am with you, I love you and I abide with you, I in you and you In Me.
Jesus."

Matthew 11 v 28-29
28 “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

LENTEN CHALLENGE
Mark 1 v 14-15
14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”

This coming Wednesday 17th of February is Ash Wednesday.
Over the coming weeks of Lent I am setting a Lenten challenge for us to read and reflect on the Gospel of Mark.

Mark is widely believed to be the first Gospel written.
It announces Jesus as Jesus Christ the Son of God.
It explores the themes of Jesus' authority and mission, his call to discipleship, and culminates in the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus.
It is believed to have been written at a time of persecution and sets out to engender encouragement and hope in those suffering persecution and trials.

The Challenge:
On Week beginning with the 1st Sunday of Lent - read Chapters 1-2
On Week beginning with the 2nd Sunday of Lent - read Chapters 3-5
On Week beginning with the 3rd  Sunday of Lent - read Chapters 6-8
On Week beginning with the 4th Sunday of Lent - read Chapters 9-11
On Week beginning with the 5th Sunday of Lent - read Chapters 12-14
On Week beginning with the 6th Sunday of Lent- read Chapters 15-16
