LUKE 10:38-42
Jesus came to a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. She had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the Lord’s feet and listened to him speaking. Now Martha who was distracted with all the serving said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister is leaving me to do the serving all by myself? Please tell her to help me.’ But the Lord answered: ‘Martha, Martha,’ he said ‘you worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part; it is not to be taken from her.’
Lord help me not to fret and worry about my life.
Lord help me take time to sit at your feet and listen. Lord help me make you the centre of my life.
Intercessions
We pray Lord that we make time this week to sit at your feet and listen to you.
Pray for healing for Mia, Jackie, Jessica, Nathan and Malcolm.
Pray for the repose of the souls of Fr Dermott Donnelly and Paul Joynes, may they Rest in Peace.
Grant Wisdom, Discernment and Proclamation of the Word to Pat.
Pray for all who are grieving give them strength, consolation and healing.
Pray for our Priests and for vocations to the Priesthood.
Pray for the conversion of the World.
Lord we continue to pray for Peace in Ukraine.
Lord we pray for persecuted Christians throughout the World.
Lord we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all peoples and nations.
Mary, Mother of God, Theotokos, pray for us.
Mary Queen of Peace, pray for us.
Mary, Bride of the Spirit, pray for us.
