Jesus, I Trust in You
Gospel John 20:19-31
Eight days later, Jesus came again and stood among them
In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you’, and showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy when they saw the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.
‘As the Father sent me,
so am I sending you.’
After saying this he breathed on them and said:
‘Receive the Holy Spirit.
For those whose sins you forgive,
they are forgiven;
for those whose sins you retain,
they are retained.’
Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. When the disciples said, ‘We have seen the Lord’, he answered, ‘Unless I see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Doubt no longer but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him:
‘You believe because you can see me.
Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.’
There were many other signs that Jesus worked and the disciples saw, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name.
1 Peter 1:9
You did not see him, yet you love him; and still without seeing him, you are already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described, because you believe; and you are sure of the end to which your faith looks forward, that is, the salvation of your souls.
Notes from meeting on 11 April 2023
Picture
Picture of our World in gloom and darkness, above is Our Lord Jesus on His Cross,
Then the Cross fades away and Jesus is before the World full of light and triumphant, from his Wounds pours unctuous oil, the precious oil flows down to parts of the globe where Christians reside, the blessed people become ecstatic as they can see Our Lord above them, and they can see light pouring through the oil as it pours upon them. After the anointing the Christians feel able to see all truth, it is as though all doubt all regrets all discouraging thoughts disappear in an instant, they start raising there hands and praising, others see them some who have been lukewarm, others who didn’t believe, atheists all turn to the Son of God in the sky, and the few Christians become a mighty throng, jumping throwing their arms towards the sky, tears and smiles on the faces.
The Mighty God has sent His Son the Saviour.
"My dear children,
Look to my Son Jesus, do not lose hope, do not lose joy, do not lose faith and you will see the love of my Son move mountains, truly grasp that all is not as my adversary would have you believe!
Prayer and Love are the keys.
I am with you in these troubling times, but Joy will be yours in the end.
Mary"
Psalm 95
1 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
Today, if only you would hear his voice,
8 “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 where your ancestors tested me;
they tried me, though they had seen what I did.
10 For forty years I was angry with that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they have not known my ways.’
11 So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”
