Alleluia, alleluia!
May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ
enlighten the eyes of our mind,
so that we can see what hope his call holds for us.
Alleluia!
Gospel: Mark 1:40-45
The leprosy left the man at once, and he was cured
A leper came to Jesus and pleaded on his knees: ‘If you want to’ he said ‘you can cure me.’ Feeling sorry for him, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. ‘Of course I want to!’ he said. ‘Be cured!’ And the leprosy left him at once and he was cured. Jesus immediately sent him away and sternly ordered him, ‘Mind you say nothing to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for your healing prescribed by Moses as evidence of your recovery.’ The man went away, but then started talking about it freely and telling the story everywhere, so that Jesus could no longer go openly into any town, but had to stay outside in places where nobody lived. Even so, people from all around would come to him.
Lord cleanse us of our sinfulness.
Notes from meeting on 6 February 2024
Picture
Picture of Blessed Mother taking from her Immaculate Heart tiny budding flowers, Mother placed them in her Son’s Sacred Heart.
The Heart of Jesus seemed to glow and ignite into flames, He then retrieved them but instead of being burnt up, some of the buds stayed the same but the majority of buds bloomed into glorious magnificent flowers of every hue and smelling of Heavenly scent. Jesus fashioned them into a Crown and placed them on His Mothers head, her face became glowing and even more beautiful and she turned to face her Sons people, and they all threw more blooms her way shouting 'Thanks be to God for the Glorious Mother and her Most Holy Son', when finally everything was quiet, she held out her Golden Rosary!
"My dear little ones I have presented your prayers and petitions to my Son and He in His great Mercy has made your prayers bloom, those that are still in bud will be answered when the time is right, but you can be sure all will be answered, for my Motherly Immaculate Heart has embellished and magnified all the good in them.
My dear ones keep up the prayers and sacrifices, one day you will see all that is hidden at the moment and all will become clear, so little ones I am so happy that you have answered my call but I ask you now to be even more heroic, offer up your work in the day and make all a sacrifice to my Son then on the Glorious Day of your homecoming you will not feel naked but will be clothed with a white garment of good deeds, gaining you admittance to Heaven and to Jesus and to me your so happy Mother.
Mary"
Galatians 5 v 16 -26
The Works of the Flesh
16 Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For what the flesh desires is opposed to the Spirit, and what the Spirit desires is opposed to the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, to prevent you from doing what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
The Fruit of the Spirit
22 By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.
Romans 7 v 14 - 8 v 4
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
