Gospel: Matthew 16:13-20
‘You are Peter, and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.’
At that time: When Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter replied, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ And Jesus answered him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.’ Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
Lord, by your grace we are made one in mind and heart.
Give us a love for what you command and a longing for what you promise, so that, amid this world’s changes,
our hearts may be set on the world of lasting joy.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Notes from meeting on 18 August

This person is on their own, no way back only down!
Blessed Mother is calling us to pray with love, humility and pity in our hearts!
The prayers placed in Her Immaculate Heart cause her Heart to start pouring with drops of heartfelt tears, these tears, filled with love and pity become a fountain which comes before Jesus. The Sacred Heart of Jesus pours forth with the Blood of Mercy, the flow of Mercy surrounds the person and pulls him back into the arms of Our Lord!
"My dear little children
I exhort you to pray through My Immaculate Heart for what seem like lost causes and poor souls destined to be apart from Heaven!
If you only knew how much power a simple prayer has that is said from your heart in humility and in earnest love, then when magnified by My immaculate Heart, Jesus cannot resist because He loves you, and He loves this Mother so much! His Justice melts!
It is simple, pray with Me and we will help to bring the lost to Jesus!
I cover you with my Maternal Mantle and keep you from harm.

2 Thessalonians 2 verses 13-17
13 But we must always thank God for you, brothers whom the Lord loves, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved by the Spirit who makes us holy and by faith in the truth.
14 Through our gospel he called you to this so that you should claim as your own the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Stand firm, then, brothers, and keep the traditions that we taught you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.
16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who has given us his love and, through his grace, such ceaseless encouragement and such sure hope,

Intercessions

We pray in reparation for all offences against the life and dignity of the human person from conception until natural death. Lord have mercy on us!
Pray for our new Pope, Leo XIV, that he may shepherd the Church and proclaim Christ to the World.

For evangelization in the city
Let us pray that in large cities often marked by anonymity and loneliness we find new ways to proclaim the Gospel, discovering creative paths to build community.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us.
We pray for all who are ill in mind body or spirit and all those in any need or difficulty.
Pray for the repose of Christine's soul, who died peacefully on 15 August. May Our Lady lead her to her heavenly home🙏
Pray for Mary, she has breast cancer and is going to have a full mastectomy on September 9th.
Continue to pray for healing for Marcin.
Thank you Lord that Dan has got temporary employment for 6 months. We pray that he may find a permanent position.

Thank you Lord ,Jacob who is 6 years old and had been diagnosed with Perthes disease which affected his ability to walk. At his last check up revealed no more symptoms 🙏
Pray for upbuilding of Marriage and Family.

Pray for our young people that they may be protected from the evil one, that they may find a home in the loving Heart of Jesus.
Pray for all in our Parishes who are ill in body, mind or spirit.
Pray for all those we have been asked and have promised to pray for.
Pray for all who are grieving give them strength, consolation and healing.
Pray for our Priests and for vocations to the Priesthood.
Pray for lost souls.
Pray for the conversion of the World.
Lord we continue to pray for Peace in the Middle East, Ukraine and in Israel and Gaza, in Sudan and throughout the World.
Lord we pray for persecuted Christians throughout the World.
Lord we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all peoples and nations.
Pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory may they be granted eternal rest.
Mary, Mother of God, Theotokos, pray for us.
Mary Queen of Peace, pray for us.
Mary, Bride of the Spirit, pray for us.
