Dear friends,

Let us commit ourselves to pray for one another and the wider Church and the World

Ephesians 6 v 17-18
17 And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. 18 Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people.

James 5 v 15-17
15 This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health, and the sins they have committed will be forgiven. 16 So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect. 17 Elijah was the same kind of person as we are. He prayed earnestly that there would be no rain, and no rain fell on the land for three and a half years.

1 Timothy 2 v 1-3
1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people; 2 for kings and all others who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all reverence toward God and with proper conduct. 3 This is good and it pleases God our Saviour,

Theotokos Prayer Group update no. 21

Dear friends this week we end our virtual and short Life in the Spirit Course by praying together for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us all:

Part 5 - BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

Acts 1 v 4-5
4 And when they came together, he gave them this order: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift my Father promised. 5 John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner.
I believe that you died for me on the Cross.
I welcome you into my heart in a whole new way, come into my life and take control.
Baptise me in the Holy Spirit and give me your gifts so I may serve the Church and help build your Kingdom.
Thank you for promising that you will never leave me or forsake me.
I love you , Jesus, my Lord and my God.
Amen

God the Holy Spirit
Comforter and Sanctifier
Melt our hearts
That we may accept your love.
Renew our minds
That we may know your truth.
Strengthen our wills
That we may serve you faithfully.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Thanks to Pat Kennedy for sharing the following words one from Christine and one from Ann Holmes:

When you were infants, you were surrounded by my love, shrouded in the mystery of the Saviour’s perfect care.  Undiscovered and dwelling within you. I glorified and rejoiced in the innocence of my created one.  I planted within you the seed of my love, to be nurtured, tended to and brought alive for the glorification of your Father.

When you were a child you were exposed to all elements.  I remained steadfast to all you encountered in free will, I was silent, still and dwelt at the heart of all decisions, willing a choice for Me.  I longed for that spark of recognition that your Father could be within your choices. I was with you, strong, silent, still and unconquerable as you chose Me. As you grew in the steadfast love of your Father.

Now fully grown.  What do I ask of my loved ones?  To move ever closer to the ‘power of the Father.’  To feed you with knowledge and understanding of My Word in Scripture.  It was I that spoke to you directly in My Word, your Father’s voice that was gifted to you for all eternity.  To help you to make bold choices in your witness for me.

Do not lose heart, my loved ones, but instead expose yourselves more and more to the full power and force of my love for you.  Largely undiscovered by each of you but nevertheless available to each one of you.  I invite you to be brave for me.  My Mother of Heaven is your advocate, your warrior in times of great need.  Call upon Her, she will answer you, she will be there to protect you, to help remove those scales from your eyes, that you may see Me in My full glory.  Do not be afraid, you have the resources within you, be brave as you make that next step towards Me.  Your perfect love.

SCRIPTURE READING WITH THE ABOVE WORD WAS:
John 9:5   “As long as I am in the world I am the light of the world.’
Jude 1:2  “Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.”
2John 1: 4  “It has given me great joy to find that children of yours have been living the life of truth as we were commanded by the Father.”

This is some advice l got during prayer from Jesus which might be good to share about  charismatic renewal.
Try to be impartial and free from judgement. Always seek what is best for the community and not for selfish desires. Pray with trust that l will speak to your heart in time. Never give up  in seeking God's will seeking to know his holy will with a discerning heart. Do not allow yourself to be come despondent or tossed on the waves, thinking this way and then the other way. Ann Holmes

Theotokos Prayer Group update No. 20

ON THE FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION WE ASK THE INTERCESSION OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER FOR ALL OUR NEEDS AND IN PARTICULAR IN COMMUNION WITH POPE FRANCIS FOR AN END TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC.

Dear friends we continue our virtual and short Life in the Spirit Course.
Another week to go!
Please let us try this week to mediate on the Scriptures below and pray together for a renewal of the gifts and fruits of the Spirit in our lives.
Next week we will pray together for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon us all.

Part 4 - THE FRUITS AND GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5 v 19 - 26
19 What human nature does is quite plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions; 20 in worship of idols and witchcraft. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups; 21 they are envious, get drunk, have orgies, and do other things like these. I warn you now as I have before: those who do these things will not possess the Kingdom of God.
22 But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires. 25 The Spirit has given us life; he must also control our lives. 26 We must not be proud or irritate one another or be jealous of one another.

1 Corinthians 12 v 4 - 11
4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. 5 There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served. 6 There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives ability to all for their particular service. 7 The Spirit's presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all. 8 The Spirit gives one person a message full of wisdom, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of knowledge. 9 One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person he gives the power to heal. 10 The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another, the gift of speaking God's message; and to yet another, the ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the Spirit and those that do not. To one person he gives the ability to speak in strange tongues, and to another he gives the ability to explain what is said. 11 But it is one and the same Spirit who does all this; as he wishes, he gives a different gift to each person.

Ephesians 4 v 10 - 12
10 So the one who came down is the same one who went up, above and beyond the heavens, to fill the whole universe with his presence. 11 It was he who “gave gifts to people”; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. 12 He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ.

Hebrews 2 v 3 -4
How, then, shall we escape if we pay no attention to such a great salvation? The Lord himself first announced this salvation, and those who heard him proved to us that it is true. At the same time God added his witness to theirs by performing all kinds of miracles and wonders and by distributing the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to his will.

2 Peter 1 v 3 - 9
God's divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness. In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature. For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love. These are the qualities you need, and if you have them in abundance, they will make you active and effective in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if you do not have them, you are so short-sighted that you cannot see and have forgotten that you have been purified from your past sins.

Thank you Father that you want to give us many gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.
These are given to strengthen us in our faith and lead us to holiness.
And also to help us lead others to faith in you and assist in the building up of your Kingdom.
Father increase the Spirits gifts and fruits in us that we may be more and more conformed to your will and be more and more transformed into  the likeness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

God the Holy Spirit
Comforter and Sanctifier
Melt our hearts
That we may accept your love.
Renew our minds
That we may know your truth.
Strengthen our wills
That we may serve you faithfully.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Theotokos Prayer Group update no. 19

Dear friends we continue our virtual and short Life in the Spirit Course.

Another 2 weeks to go!
Please let us try this week to mediate on the Scriptures below and pray together for a renewal of the gifts and fruits of the Spirit in our lives.

Part 3 - THE PROMISE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Luke 11 v 9 - 13
9 And so I say to you: Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For those who ask will receive, and those who seek will find, and the door will be opened to anyone who knocks. 11 Would any of you who are fathers give your son a snake when he asks for fish? 12 Or would you give him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? 13 As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

John 14 v 25-26
25 “I have told you this while I am still with you. 26 The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.

Romans 5 v 1 - 5
1 Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 He has brought us by faith into this experience of God's grace, in which we now live. And so we boast of the hope we have of sharing God's glory! 3 We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, 4 endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope. 5 This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.

Lord we thank you for the free gift of the Holy Spirit.
Help us to continually ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us in our lives, to sustain us in our difficulties.
May the Spirit fill us with Love and bring to our minds the truths of the Gospel and lead us to union with the Father and the Son and the Spirit.

God the Holy Spirit
Comforter and Sanctifier
Melt our hearts
That we may accept your love.
Renew our minds
That we may know your truth.

Theotokos Prayer Group update no. 18

Dear friends we continue our virtual and short Life in the Spirit Course.
Another 3 weeks to go!
Please let us try this week to mediate on the Scriptures below and pray together for a renewal of the gifts and fruits of the Spirit in our lives.

Part 2 - JESUS OUR SAVIOUR

Isaiah 43 v 1
Do not be afraid—I will save you.
I have called you by name—you are mine.

Mark 1 v 15
15 “The right time has come,” he said, “and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!”

Romans 8 v 1-3
1There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his own Son, who came with a nature like our sinful nature, to do away with sin.

2 Tim 1 v 8-10
8 Do not be ashamed, then, of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

Thank you Jesus that you are Our Lord and Saviour.
You call us to repent and believe in you, the Word made flesh
Thank you that you have have saved us through your death and Resurrection from the power of sin and death.
Thank you that you call us to a new life in You.
You call us to a loving relationship with you, the Father and the Spirit.

God the Holy Spirit
Comforter and Sanctifier
Melt our hearts
That we may accept your love.
Renew our minds
That we may know your truth.
Strengthen our wills
That we may serve you faithfully.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Picture of a devastated field in darkness, the crop had blown over and was blighted. People were in despair for something to eat, On the horizon a Great Light appeared, as it came nearer and brighter a Great Citadel could be seen, pure white with crystalline water flowing out from it to the surrounding lands. The water worked its way to the roots of all the crops and vegetation, invigorating and replenishing. From the midst of The Citadel Jesus walked towards the field and the crop of wheat, all the flowers and vegetation turned towards His Light, growth and ripening lasted only hours instead of days or months. The people ate and were satisfied strengthened and able to harvest the vast crop in great Joy.
“My Dear Children you feel weary and hungry for My Son Jesus, turn away from the things of the Earth and look towards Him who is The Light and The Way, He only can satisfy for He Is The True Bread Of Life.
He comes to you because He loves you, no matter what you face He will always be with you and provide for you. Open your hearts in Faith and Love and receive from Him.
My Children if you see a need in your brother and you have the means to help him then please do, if you don’t have the means then please pray that your brother’s needs will be met. Each of you are precious sons and daughters of the Father in Heaven and therefore are all One Family, One Church, One Body and One Bread in Jesus My Son.
My Little Ones be carriers of The Light of Jesus in these troublesome days, pray for the souls of those in most need of forgiveness and who don’t accept My Son as Lord of their lives. If you persevere in prayer and penance you will be an example and carriers of The Light of My Son.
My Children My Mantel of Protection and My Maternal Blessing be upon you In The Name of Jesus My Son. Amen.
Mary"

A Picture of Jesus, emerging from His chest is a large Orb of Light, The Light travels and rests above many praying people. The Orb splits into little balls of light which enters into each heart of the praying people. The Light of Jesus emanates and expands in the praying peoples hearts, so much so that each persons heart is not recognisable, The Heart Of Jesus and contained within His Heart is The Immaculate Heart of His Mother Mary, these Two Hearts pulsing can be seen in the praying people.
My Children come close to My Son Jesus and receive Him into your hearts, in these days of confusion and fear, receive Him Whom is all Truth all Holiness all Love and will cause you to receive the Holy Spirit of all Calmness. Remember My Little Ones whatever is happening in your lives nobody can take away the inner Peace and Truth of Jesus when you call on Him, He will never leave you, and you will receive a full measure of The Holy Spirit. My Little Ones remember where ever My Son is, I am present also, I intercede for you so that you may always stand up for The Truth, be at Peace and pray, do not retaliate to repudiation of your Faith but in Love pray for souls.
My children pray for My Priest Sons at this time of confusion. I place my Mantle of Protection about them, and about you too.
Mary.
