Fourth Sunday of Advent

Gospel – Luke 1:26-38

26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, favoured one! The Lord is with you.” 29 But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. 31 And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. 36 And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” 38 Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

Are we able to say 'Yes' to God as Mary did?

Will we allow the Holy Spirit to come upon us and overshadow us?

Will we subject ourselves to God's will for our lives?

Will we welcome the Saviour into our hearts and souls?

Most Holy Spirit and the Blessed Mother bring about the birth of Christ more vividly in our souls. Amen

Mary Mother of God, Theotokos, pray for us. Amen

Picture

A picture of Blessed Mother in Heaven dressed in gold she is shortly to give birth to her Son Jesus, surrounding Her is an army of light made up of Saints, Martyrs, Angels and good people. The Martyrs appear to be holding the hands of small children some larger and others holding babies, these are the innocent children who have suffered illness or been killed and so have become martyrs themselves. They are all smiling in such Joy even the little ones are gurgling along in prayer and praise making a beautiful choir of music, they are making the Light shine forth for the Coming Of Jesus,  all this in Heaven to make up for the lack of Light and Wonder upon the earth.

“ My children wherever you are on earth pray and praise and in your hearts, rejoice for your Saviour is soon to be born, wherever you are, in Church, in your homes, even if you are in jail pray and praise to your God from your hearts and great things will happen in your lives. He who loves you so much is coming again to save you. Be patient, loving and kind to all you meet, even to those who seem to be against my Son, and pray especially for those who reject and do not want to know Him or love Him. My Son loves them and His love has no bounds. Prayer in these times is the answer to darkness and all those in the Heavenly Army especially the innocent children with Me will push back the fetid darkness of the enemy he cannot stand the innocent unconditional love of the little ones.

I Mary, Mother of Jesus ask you to increase your prayer and come closer to my Maternal Heart, for here you will find my Son. Nothing is impossible to God, those who seem to be lost will be found and such rejoicing will be heard, so you also on earth my little ones pray with us and be part of the Confounding Light which the enemy cannot abide!

Mary"

O Emmanuel: O Emmanuel, king and lawgiver, desire of the nations, Saviour of all people, come and set us free, Lord our God. Isaiah had prophesied, The Lord himself will give you this sign: the Virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.

(Isaiah 7:14). Remember Emmanuel means God is with us.
