Third Sunday of Advent

Rejoice in the Lord

Isaiah 61:10
10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
    my whole being shall exult in my God;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

Luke 1:46-47
46 And Mary said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my
Saviour,

1 Thessalonians 5:16-219
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit.

John 1:9
9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

This Second Sunday of Advent is Gaudete (Rejoice) Sunday and there is a current of rejoicing throughout the Mass readings.
Let us rejoice at the coming of Jesus as the Saviour.
Let us rejoice at the coming of Jesus who is the Light of the World.
Let us rejoice because the Lord is near at hand!

“My children to keep your body healthy your heart pumps oxygen and so you are able to live and breathe. My Children I ask you to make your hearts Temples for the coming of the Lord, let the Holy Spirit so conform you and breathe in you that your hearts become little Temples where my baby Son can reside. Your spiritual selves will grow and you will experience true Peace within you.
Make an Act of Consecration to the Holy Spirit to guide you to do the Will of My Son Jesus and His Will, will be done in you, as it was in me His Mother. True Peace and Love will flow through your spiritual lives and will enable you to not only to help others but when needed make a retreat with us the Holy Family in the deepest recesses of your heart, in these times my children your hearts will be a refuge and so Peace will be obtained through all difficulties.
I am your Mother and I pray for what’s best for you my dearest of children and so I say to you prepare your hearts for the coming of the Little Prince of Peace.
Mary"

O Oriens: O Radiant Dawn, splendour of eternal light, sun of justice: come, shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death.

Isaiah had prophesied, The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shown. (Isaiah 9:1).

O Rex Gentium: O King of all the nations, the only joy of every human heart; O Keystone of the mighty arch of man, come and save the creature you fashioned from the dust.
Isaiah had prophesied, For a child is born to us, a son is given us; upon his shoulder dominion rests. They name him Wonder-Counsellor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:5), and He shall judge between the nations, and impose terms on many peoples. They shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks; one nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again. (Isaiah 2:4) .
