Theotokos Prayer Group Update 2021 No. 3

 

Mark 1 v 14 -20

14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
16 As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me and I will make you fish for people.” 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 19 As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. 20 Immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.

Jesus help us to repent of our sin and believe in the good news of your presence with us, the good news of your crucifixion, death and resurrection by which we are saved and brought back to God the Father. Jesus help us follow you ever more closely. Amen

A picture of a muted light falling upon our Country, it is the quiet light of Mary Most Holy, this light emanates from Her across our land bringing solace and hope. In  the Blessed Mother's great love for us this light spreads like a Mantle of Protection spreading further across other lands and isles.
Mary says:
"My children do not feel forsaken, only remember at all times the love God the Father lavishes on His children. The Adversary tries to trap you into despair and destroy your Faith and Love, stand firm when you feel all is lost, know that my Son Jesus who died for each of you along with the Holy Spirit and in the Fathers plan will uphold you,  Children of my Immaculate Heart be faithful to our plans and keep praying, loving and bringing Peace wherever you are and are going, continue to pray for lost souls, for my Priest sons and your families. My children be like little Tabernacles that contain my Son and the love He bears for all of His People, shine with Hope and Faith, all will be well in my Son's Will.
I your Mother love you with a Mother’s love and hide and protect you under my Mantle near my Maternal Heart.
Your Mother Mary."

I love you, most lovable Lady, by the love which I bear you, I promise ever to serve you, and to do as much as I can, that you be loved by others also. I put all my hopes in you, all my salvation. Receive me as your servant and cover me with the mantle of your protection, O Mother of mercy! Amen.

Intercessions

Please pray for Jean who is very ill with a chest infection.

Please pray for Ray Kirk and his wife, Priscilla.
Ray is terminally ill with liver cancer which has now spread to his bones. His wife has recently got her visa sorted to come over from Hong Kong to be with him. She is originally from the Philippines and is working in Hong Kong. Obviously, in the current situation it's not looking good at the moment.

Continuing prayer please for Dave, who has liver and colon cancer, with surgery not now possible. Both he and his wife are in need of prayers for God's love, courage and peace through this journey.

Yvonne Noone has asked for further prayers for her niece who is pregnant, her niece has now been told the baby is not moving again, and the doctor is very worried! Please can we all say an extra Hail Mary that this child despite all this worry is born completely healthy. Amen.

For David who has been disappointed over a promised job. Pray he will find a suitable position.

For Eileen who is critically ill with cancer who we have been praying for. She has received the Sacrament of the Sick and is now at home under the care of nurses and her daughter.

In thanksgiving for Alan Guile and his continued healing ministry over many years. May God continue to support and bless him.

Thanks for the prayers for John who has now had the operation on his hand and all seems to have gone well and is having physiotherapy.

Pray for Clayne's brother David Gates who  was taken into hospital with Covid he is on oxygen.

Pray for Betty McGurk who is in hospital for investigations

Pray for Heather who is struggling with personal problems

Pray for Steve suffering with Long Covid, both he and his wife Christine are suffering from depression.

Pray for Chantelle suffering with depression.

Pray for Pat who has not only cancer but now found out that her terrible back pain is a disk that’s resting on another disc, and they won’t operate.

Pray for our Government, local authorities and the health services as they try to deal with the new upsurge in the Corona Virus. Pray for a speedy end to the Coronavirus pandemic throughout the world, and for all those who have contracted the virus and for those who have died. Pray for a vaccine.

Continue to pray for healing for Dave whose long term walking difficulties are worsening.

Thanks for the prayers for John who is doing well after the operation on his brain tumour. He is continuing with chemotherapy.

Pray for our priests and our parishes.

Pray for the intentions of all members of Theotokos.

Pray for lost souls.

Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Church and the World.
