Theotokos Prayer Group 2021 - Update No 36

 

Gospel, Mark 8:27-35
27 Jesus and his disciples left for the villages round Caesarea Philippi. On the way he put this question to his disciples, 'Who do people say I am?'
28 And they told him, 'John the Baptist, others Elijah, others again, one of the prophets.'
29 'But you,' he asked them, 'who do you say I am?' Peter spoke up and said to him, 'You are the Christ.'
30 And he gave them strict orders not to tell anyone about him.
31 Then he began to teach them that the Son of man was destined to suffer grievously, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be put to death, and after three days to rise again;
32 and he said all this quite openly. Then, taking him aside, Peter tried to rebuke him.
33 But, turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said to him, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are thinking not as God thinks, but as human beings do.'
34 He called the people and his disciples to him and said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me.
35 Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.

"My people who do you say I Am?
Do you deep in your heart believe that I Am the Risen Christ and that I reside in your heart, or do you pay me lip service and appear to do all that is right in the eyes of others? 

If you know Me as I know you, you will invite Me continually into your heart and spend time with Me, till after some time you will appear more and more like Me, in mind, body and spirit, you will fall often but when you call me to forgive you, I will wipe out every sin and so we are at one again. 

My people there are many who still do not avail themselves of My Sacraments, if only they would frequent them, they could become saints, ask continually to bend your will to that of the Living God My Father, He will send the Holy Spirit and He will guide you ever closer to My Sacred Heart and the most Immaculate Heart of My Mother, together we will overcome all that is not of Me and you will truly become One Body, One Bread! 

Pray for those who ignore and are indifferent to the Holy Spirit, pray for My Priest sons that they stand strong in the truth and pray for courage that they whom I love as My own flesh should bring My Holy Word to the people I so long for. 

I your Jesus love you with an unending love.

Intercessions

Pray for the forthcoming climate conference in Glasgow that those in authority be given wisdom and discernment on actions needed to alleviate the climate crisis.

Pray for a young mother Louise who has Bipolar and has just recently had a baby girl Florence, the baby has Down’s Syndrome and she is struggling to cope, her mother Mary who was going to help her has fallen and broke her hip which she was waiting to have replaced, the doctors decided to put in a steel plate instead of doing the hip replacement and she is in constant pain and cannot help her daughter. Dear Lord we ask you to work supernaturally in this situation and we leave them in Your Most Holy And Divine Will.

Pray for God's healing and help for Kristapas (Chris) from Latvia who is seriously ill.

Pray for Anthony as he considers his future plans, grant him wisdom and discernment.

Pray for the repose of David who died recently from cancer and for comfort for his wife Margaret and family.

Continue to pray for healing for Barbara, she has cancerous tumours in various places in her abdomen.

A lady called Carol has asked for prayers as she is now on steroids and can’t very often get to church unless she is having a good day, also because of a nasty fall she has lost her confidence a bit.

Beryl has asked for prayers for her nephew Wayne as he is very ill in Australia, pray for his healing.

Pray for Ann to cope with her ongoing symptoms and treatment.

Pray for the needs and future wellbeing of Margaret and for her mother who is worried about her and herself has health problems.

Pray for the people of Afghanistan as they face renewed uncertainty and instability now that the  American and British troops have departed and the Taliban are in control of the Country.

Pray for the people of Syria who after 10 years of war and economic meltdown are struggling to survive.

Pray for the people of Haiti that they receive aid and assistance.

Pray for the protection and strengthening of or Priests.

Pray for the salvation of all people.

Continue to pray for an end to the pandemic.
Pray for our Government, the health services, local authorities and volunteers as they deal with the Corona Virus.
Pray that vaccines will be readily available to all throughout the World and that wealthy nations will assist the poorer nations.

Pray for peace and justice throughout the World.

Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Church and the World.

Pray for the personal needs of all of Theotokos Prayer Group.
