Theotokos Prayer Group 2021 - Update No 48 - Second Sunday of Advent

 Second Sunday of Advent

GOSPEL
Lk 3:1–6
In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert. John went throughout the whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah: A voice of one crying out in the desert: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.”

Lord draw us to repentance for the forgiveness of our sins.
Help us prepare ourselves for your coming.
Remove all that blocks our way to You and Your way to us.

Picture
A picture of a far off light in the distance, many people who have no energy are using their last reserves to go towards the light, on arriving the light is emanating from an oasis of love and peace, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Our Lady says:
“My little children your energy seems spent, but if you look to my Son Jesus and approach the light of His love He will heal you, comfort you, and renew you.
The Holy Spirit will come into your hearts enabling you to become strong through prayer.
My little ones now during Advent put aside earthly worries, think only of the coming of Jesus, pray that others will welcome Him into their hearts.
Come Oh Jesus, come.
Mary"

O blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon England thy "Dowry" and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our hope was given unto the world; and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more. Plead for us thy children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother. Intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the supreme Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son. Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we may all deserve to see and praise God, together with thee, in our heavenly home.
Amen.
