Theotokos Prayer Group 2021 - Update No.18

Pentecost is coming 23 May 2021

Come Holy Spirit!

Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48
25 and as Peter reached the house Cornelius went out to meet him, fell at his feet and did him reverence.
26 But Peter helped him up. 'Stand up,' he said, ' after all, I am only a man!'
34 Then Peter addressed them, 'I now really understand', he said, 'that God has no favourites,
35 but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
44 While Peter was still speaking the Holy Spirit came down on all the listeners.
45 Jewish believers who had accompanied Peter were all astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit should be poured out on gentiles too,
46 since they could hear them speaking strange languages and proclaiming the greatness of God. Peter himself then said,
47 'Could anyone refuse the water of baptism to these people, now they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?'
48 He then gave orders for them to be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterwards they begged him to stay on for some days.

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner, I believe you died for me.
I welcome you into my heart in a whole new way, come into my life and take control.
Baptise me in the Holy Spirit and give me your gifts so I may serve the Church and help build your Kingdom.
Thank you for promising that you will never leave me or forsake me.
I love you Jesus ,my Lord and my God. Amen

Picture
Picture of a small sheep stuck in a very thorny thicket, its face was scratched and bleeding, a wolf sensed the distress of the sheep and went to kill and eat it. Jesus came by and hooked the little sheep out of the thicket with his crook and although this was painful the sheep was saved. Jesus opened up the top of his garment to place the little sheep near His Heart and as He did so the little sheep could see the stripes and bruised bleeding flesh of Our Lord.
Jesus said My People it is for such as these that My Love overcomes My Justice, it is for such as these that I gave up My Life on a Cruel Cross. If a Penitent calls out to Me in distress for help and Acknowledges Me, I cannot Leave that Soul Orphan, for My Merciful Heart Throbs with Love For Them! My Personal invitation to any Soul I say again to you, I Your Saviour Love You, Turn to Me for No Transgression is not forgivable if You are Truly Penitent, My Heart Desires Your Heart to be Warmed and renewed, I desire to keep Your Heart in the confines of My Ever lasting Love, Oh My Child Come to Me do not Make My Heart Bleed for Your indifference to Me, Do not make My Eyes Weep any longer, I Love You so, Come Back to Your Saviour, Come Back to My Love and together You and I will be truly One, You in Me and Dear One I in You.
Your Jesus

Intercessions

In the Month of May we are asked to pray with the Holy Father for an end to the Pandemic
PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR PROMOTION
OF THE NEW EVANGELIZATION

“Prayer by the Church was fervently being made to God”
(cf. Acts 12:5)
Let us pray for the end of the pandemic united in the recitation of the Holy Rosary together with the Shrines around the world.

We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
In the present tragic situation, when the whole world is prey to suffering and anxiety, we fly to you, Mother of God and our Mother, and seek refuge under your protection.
Virgin Mary, turn your merciful eyes towards us amid this coronavirus pandemic. Comfort those who are distraught and mourn their loved ones who have died, and at times are buried in a way that grieves them deeply. Be close to those who are concerned for their loved ones who are sick and who, in order to prevent the spread of the disease, cannot be close to them. Fill with hope those who are troubled by the uncertainty of the future and the consequences for the economy and employment.
Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us to God, the Father of mercies, that this great suffering may end and that hope and peace may dawn anew. Plead with your divine Son, as you did at Cana, so that the families of the sick and the victims be comforted, and their hearts be opened to confidence and trust.
Protect those doctors, nurses, health workers and volunteers who are on the frontline of this emergency, and are risking their lives to save others. Support their heroic effort and grant them strength, generosity, and continued health.
Mary, Consolation of the afflicted, embrace all your children in distress and pray that God will stretch out his all-powerful hand and free us from this terrible pandemic, so that life can serenely resume its normal course.
To you, who shine on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope, do we entrust ourselves, O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin Mary. Amen.
