Called out of darkness

Notes of meeting 24 August 2010

Picture of a great banquet in a room with many people seated at tables but some seats are empty.
There is a door to the banqueting hall that is closed and outside in the darkness is a man and the people inside are praying that the man may enter. Mary asks Jesus to give the man the extra grace he needs to enter and she opens the door to him and he enters in.

As at the Wedding Feast of Cana Mary intercedes with Jesus for him to satisfy others needs.

1 Peter 2 v 9 - 10
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Ephesians 5 v 6 - 20
6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7Therefore do not be partners with them.

8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10and find out what pleases the Lord. 11Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:
"Wake up, O sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."

15Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

21Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Remember no prayer goes unanswered. Remember that the moment a thing seems wrong to you or a persons actions are not what you think they should be, at that moment begins your obligation and responsibility to pray for that person to be different.
Face your responsibilities what is wrong in your country, its statesmen ,its laws ,its people ? Think out quietly and make these matters your prayer matters. You will see lives you never touch altered. Laws made at your request ,and evil banished.
Yes live in a large sense. Live to serve. You may never go beyond one room and yet you may become one of the most powerful forces for good in the world. You may never see the mighty work you do, but I see it ,evil sees it.
OH it is a glorious life, the life of one who saves. fellow workers together with me. See this more and more. Live with me sharers of my life
