Be guided by the Spirit

Notes of meeting on 26 May 2015

Picture of a living flame of fire that seemed to be above us  and we could all clearly see it.
The flame grew into an enveloping light that joined with any light that was already within us even if it was only a speck of light. Our light was enlivened, enriched and magnified by the enveloping light and it was almost as if we had become that light.
We could feel great joy, love and peace and we felt at one with the light.
Within the light as it magnified in brilliance and depth could be seen the City of God, white, sparkling, crystal clear emitting the light and within this light were fields and gardens of such beauty with crystal fountains, rivers and brooks all making their own sounds delightful to the ear. Fish teemed in the rivers, birds sang in the green verdant countryside all part of the life giving light.
It was as though a beautiful symphony beyond our senses was taking place continually renewing and revitalising our inner core being.
Our Blessed Mother was at the great gates of the City requesting admittance for all her children. In great joy we knew and felt the resounding 'Yes' in our hearts. Our Mother was beaming and overflowing with joy as her children were home safe.

Galatians 5 v 16 -25
¹⁶ Instead, I tell you, be guided by the Spirit, and you will no longer yield to self-indulgence.
¹⁷ The desires of self-indulgence are always in opposition to the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are in opposition to self-indulgence: they are opposites, one against the other; that is how you are prevented from doing the things that you want to.
¹⁸ But when you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
¹⁹ When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: sexual vice, impurity, and sensuality,
²⁰ the worship of false gods and sorcery; antagonisms and rivalry, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels, disagreements,
²¹ factions and malice, drunkenness, orgies and all such things. And about these, I tell you now as I have told you in the past, that people who behave in these ways will not inherit the kingdom of God.
²² On the other hand the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness,
²³ gentleness and self-control; no law can touch such things as these.
²⁴ All who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified self with all its passions and its desires.
²⁵ Since we are living by the Spirit, let our behaviour be guided by the Spirit

Phil 2 v 1- 16
 ¹So if in Christ there is anything that will move you, any incentive in love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any warmth or sympathy -- I appeal to you,
² make my joy complete by being of a single mind, one in love, one in heart and one in mind.
³ Nothing is to be done out of jealousy or vanity; instead, out of humility of mind everyone should give preference to others,
⁴ everyone pursuing not selfish interests but those of others.
⁵ Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus:
⁶ Who, being in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped.
⁷ But he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming as human beings are; and being in every way like a human being,
⁸ he was humbler yet, even to accepting death, death on a cross.
⁹ And for this God raised him high, and gave him the name which is above all other names;
¹⁰ so that all beings in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld, should bend the knee at the name of Jesus
¹¹ and that every tongue should acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
¹² So, my dear friends, you have always been obedient; your obedience must not be limited to times when I am present. Now that I am absent it must be more in evidence, so work out your salvation in fear and trembling.
¹³ It is God who, for his own generous purpose, gives you the intention and the powers to act.
¹⁴ Let your behaviour be free of murmuring and complaining
¹⁵ so that you remain faultless and pure, unspoilt children of God surrounded by a deceitful and underhand brood, shining out among them like bright stars in the world,
¹⁶ proffering to it the Word of life. Then I shall have reason to be proud on the Day of Christ, for it will not be for nothing that I have run the race and toiled so hard.


I Chronicles 17 v 16 - 27
¹⁶ King David then went in, sat down in Yahweh's presence and said: 'Who am I, Yahweh God, and what is my lineage, that you have led me as far as this?
¹⁷ Yet, to you, O God, this seemed too little, and now you extend your promises for your servant's family into the distant future, making me see as it were a whole succession of men, and it is Yahweh God himself who raises it up.
¹⁸ What more can David reply to you for the honour you have given to your servant? You yourself have singled out your servant.
¹⁹ For your servant, and since you were so inclined, you have had the generosity to reveal all this greatness to come.
²⁰ Yahweh, there is no one like you, no God but you alone, as everything that we have heard confirms.
²¹ Is there another people on earth like your people Israel, whom a god has proceeded to redeem, to make them his people and to make them famous and do for them great and terrible deeds, by driving out nations before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?-
²² for you made your people Israel your own people for ever and you, Yahweh, became their God.
²³ 'Now, Yahweh, may the promise which you have made for your servant and as regards his family hold good for ever, and do as you have said.
²⁴ May it hold good, so your name will be exalted for ever and people will say, "Israel's God is Yahweh Sabaoth; he is God for Israel." Your servant David's dynasty will be secure before you
²⁵ since you, my God, have disclosed to your servant that you are going to build him a dynasty. Hence, your servant has ventured to offer this prayer to you.
²⁶ Yes, Yahweh, you are God indeed, and you have made this generous promise to your servant.
²⁷ What is more, you have deigned to bless your servant's dynasty, so that it may remain for ever before you; and since you, Yahweh, have blessed it, blessed will it be for ever.'

Be clothed with My Light

Notes of meeting on 10 May 2014

Picture of Jesus standing before us full of Glory and Light. This Glory and Light seemed to be all around us.
He said "Be clothed with My Light, be empowered with the Light of the Holy Spirit, My flock My little army you are few but are large in loyalty. My little army clothe your hearts with My Light.
Satan will try to block this Light within you but know this I am with you and he cannot prevail. Turn to My Mother she will protect you just as she protected Me.
Do not be afraid for the Light will be a beacon to others, My beloved you will draw the downtrodden to Me.
Be good and have courage, all will be well.
My little lambs I will keep the wolves and foxes from doing any lasting damage or harm. Do not hide this gift of Light, the Light of the Holy Spirit. Shine for all to see."

Psalm 72 v 12- 14
¹² For he rescues the needy who calls to him, and the poor who has no one to help.
¹³ He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the needy from death.
¹⁴ From oppression and violence he redeems their lives, their blood is precious in his sight.

 

Freedom in the Spirit

Notes of meeting on 18 June 2013 I was praying my daily prayers today and started to pray to the Holy Family to take my unholy family in their midst and all those I love, all those I don't love, all my enemies and I then found myself praying for different groups and lastly brought before the Lord Theotokos.

Suddenly it was as though a huge force or vacuum parted the sky and came into the room at St Mary's it was as if we were in a vortex shaped like an egg timer. All our problems seemed to drain away as this light and strong wind enveloped us, went through us and filled us. It pushed along the floor and out through the windows at a mighty speed touching everything, going into all the dark places and touching all those who have hurt us and those we have hurt. All pain, bitterness, apathy, judgmentalism, revenge and hatred were replaced with contriteness, humility, peace, love, joy and fear of the Lord.

I personally felt a strange quietness of spirit a lassitude in love as though we had all encountered a new freedom in the Spirit.

Corinthians 5 v 1 -15

1 For we are well aware that when the tent that houses us on earth is folded up, there is a house for us from God, not made by human hands but everlasting, in the heavens. 2 And in this earthly state we do indeed groan, 3 longing to put on our heavenly home over the present one; if indeed we are to be found clothed rather than stripped bare. 4 Yes, indeed, in this present tent, we groan under the burden, not that we want to be stripped of our covering, but because we want to be covered with a second garment on top, so that what is mortal in us may be swallowed up by life. 5 It is God who designed us for this very purpose, and he has given us the Spirit as a pledge. 6 We are always full of confidence, then, realising that as long as we are at home in the body we are exiled from the Lord, 7 guided by faith and not yet by sight; 8 we are full of confidence, then, and long instead to be exiled from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9 And so whether at home or exiled, we make it our ambition to please him. 10 For at the judgement seat of Christ we are all to be seen for what we are, so that each of us may receive what he has deserved in the body, matched to whatever he has done, good or bad. 11 And so it is with the fear of the Lord always in mind that we try to win people over. But God sees us for what we are, and I hope your consciences do too. 12 Again we are saying this not to commend ourselves to you, but simply to give you the opportunity to take pride in us, so that you may have an answer for those who take pride in appearances and not inner reality. 13 If we have been unreasonable, it was for God; if reasonable, for you. 14 For the love of Christ overwhelms us when we consider that if one man died for all, then all have died; 15 his purpose in dying for all humanity was that those who live should live not any more for themselves, but for him who died and was raised to life.

We have freedom in Christ - stay free!

Invocation of the Holy Spirit

Let us invoke the Holy Spirit: praise to you Holy Spirit, artisan of God's works. May your gifts shape us! Just as the Church travels the same journey with all humanity, so too may we answer your call to exercise your gifts amidst the ups and downs of our daily life.

Empowered by you, and drawing upon faith's rich vision, may we help build a world in which God's gift of life is welcomed, respected and cherished - not rejected, feared as a threat and destroyed.

Help us build a new age in which hopw liberates us from the shallowness, apathy and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our relationships.

Help us build a new age in which love is not greedy or self-seeking, but pure, faithful and genuinely free, open to others, respectful of their dignity, seeking their good, radiating joy and beauty.

May we become prophets of this new age, messengers of your faith, hope and love, darwing people to ther Father and building a future of hope for all humanity. Amen

Ephesians 1 v 3-10 3

Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all the spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ. 4 Thus he chose us in Christ before the world was made to be holy and faultless before him in love, 5 marking us out for himself beforehand, to be adopted sons, through Jesus Christ. Such was his purpose and good pleasure, 6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, his free gift to us in the Beloved, 7 in whom, through his blood, we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. Such is the richness of the grace 8 which he has showered on us in all wisdom and insight. 9 He has let us know the mystery of his purpose, according to his good pleasure which he determined beforehand in Christ, 10 for him to act upon when the times had run their course: that he would bring everything together under Christ, as head, everything in the heavens and everything on earth.

Be sealed with My Spirit

England is raised up and the Spirit moves through the country falling especially upon all christians. Saying 'Be sealed with My Spirit'.

Mary always leads us to Jesus

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus we thank you that you send your Spirit over the world and over our country – open us and all Christians to your Spirit.

Lord Jesus make us true and faithful believers may we be truly temples of the living God and temples of your Spirit.

Jesus you are a sign of the times, a sign for all times, peoples and nations you want to draw all people to yourself by your death on the Cross and your resurrection.

Holy Spirit remove our timidity - fill us with power, love and self control
